Mobile Phones are not just devices to make calls nowadays. They are Smartphones today, and can take up a variety of tasks from gaming to professional-like photography, thanks to the raw processing power found in Smartphones today, and thanks to the optimized mobile operating systems we find in them. At least on paper, nowadays our Smartphones are as powerful, if not excess, than the PC’s of previous generations. Hence, our Smartphones can handle any major tasks from console-like gaming to heavy multitasking, all by using the power within that thin chassis.

As we ask for more and more from our Smartphones these days, Smartphone manufacturers are keen to stuff in more sensors and features apart from processing power, into their Smartphones, so that more buyers get attracted to their products. If we talk about two of the current generation flagship Android Smartphones, the story is not all that different. Yeah, as you might have already guessed from the title of this article, today we are here with a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8, two of the hottest flagship Android Smartphones from their respective manufacturers.

Samsung Galaxy S5 v/s HTC One M8:

In terms of hardware specifications, both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 are top notch and features the latest cutting edge processors, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB of RAM, either 16 or 32 GB of internal storage options, 5.1 inch Full-HD display, 16 MP primary camera, 2 MP secondary camera and a 2800 mAh battery.

Whereas the HTC One M8 comes with a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 5 inch Full-HD display, either 16 or 32 GB of internal storage space, with MicroSD storage expansion support, 4 MP primary camera with Dual-tone LED flash, 5 MP primary camera and a 2600 mAh battery.

If you are able to cope with the lower MP count of HTC One M8’s camera and if you can let go the additional features and gimmicks of the Samsung Galaxy S5, then the HTC One M8 is the most preferable out of the two simply because it is a better overall package, thanks to its awesome features, built quality and performance.
