Xolo has announced that they are sending a minor OTA update to the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS of their Xolo Play device which is said to bring some improvement in the performance of the device. The Xolo Play T1000 from Xolo was launched recently, and it runs the Android 4.1.1 OS version and it has got some strong specs to support its performance but there were quite a few issues which the company took into mind and sent the OTA update.
Though Xolo didn’t actually send out a complete change log to show what is being changed or improved in this OTA update, but because there were users having issues in the performance, there is nothing Xolo would work on for this update.
The Xolo Play has got a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and on the graphics side, it’s the 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU. Although Xolo hasn’t made any note about the Android 4.2 or its update status for the Xolo Play, we expect the 4.1.1 doing a good job with the performance and removes all the glitches and bugs while the interface is given a heavy test.
How to Update Xolo Play via OTA Update
To update the Xolo Play T1000 device manually through the Over-the-air update, you need to go to the Settings > About Phone > System Updates section where the new available update would show up, and you can choose to download and install it based on the network.
There’s no update about the Android 4.2 update, but this OTA update for 4.1.1 is good for now, which is available right now for the users.
