Samsung has just announced the first flexible display Android smartphone in the world, with the Samsung Galaxy Round coming with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED curved display and it was announced in Korea. The Galaxy Round looks more like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which was recently announced because the screen size is the same and the back panel too has got the same faux leather casing with the stitched borders.
The Galaxy Round has made an appearance in only one market for now, and soon it can come with the official launch all around the world, but for now, the looks are excellent and there are some special features the users can take advantage of, like the Roll Effect where the battery level and a few notifications are shown on the screen when the phone is rolled or tilted any one side.
The curving of the body is concave with the screen bending in towards the center from the side, and thus the claims that the top and bottom edges would be curved, is all wrong. The specs could be mostly the same which were seen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The pricing of the device too is not known for now, but that won’t be any less because the Note 3 already came with some huge pricing, and the Galaxy Round just adds more than what the former offered.
There is just one Brown color in which it is available in Korea but some more colors could be coming soon, when it is launched officially.
